The tractor forage harvester series SILO is most commonly used for the harvesting or production of corn silage, but it can also be used for harvesting other types of green fodder.
The machine can be attached to a tractor in 3 ways. The classical side attachment method is most commonly used, where a beam 1.25m wide runs alongside the tractor. Without much difficulty, it can simply be folded and mounted directly at the rear. In this case, the user is required to drive the tractor backward. In case of an attachment to the front hydraulics, the gearbox needs to be appropriately adjusted. Free-floating knives on the rotor are specially designed to prevent damage to the machine when stones or other hard objects are introduced. For quick and smooth sharpening of knives, it has its own grinding device installed. The height adjustment can be easily set with a spring adjustment pin and a guide support wheel. The entire silo discharge management system during operation is very simple as it operates via an electro-hydraulic control system. During operation, the discharge chute is hydraulically controlled through 360 degrees and similarly, the final discharge flap is hydraulically adjustable. To facilitate work in all working conditions, a strong LED work light is also installed by the outlet. The silo harvester has its own hydraulic pump with its own oil reservoir for operating these functions.
